Mini-Farm Live-In Care

Mini-Farm Live-In Care

Feel like you’re trapped at home because you don’t have an experienced caregiver to take over the care of your chickens, ducks, quail, geese, turkeys, donkeys, pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, mules, horses, or cows in addition to dogs, cats, and other domestic pets you have while you travel for business or pleasure? If this is you, then our 23 hour farm care service is just what you are looking for! The added benefit of the live-in service is that your farm hand is able to travel a farther distance to get to you as she will be staying on your property most of the time.

This service is carried out by a Fear Free® Elite Certified professional with an additional Fear Free® Equine and Fear Free® Avian certification. She has shown horses in competition, raised and competed with her 4H chickens, and has animal training experience to socialize young farm animals.

Live in (also known as “on-site”) care means your caregiver will feed your livestock and pets, wipe down and refill water dispensers, clean up daily messes, check on automatic systems, and refill hay hoppers and similar farm tasks. Collecting mail and packages and watering gardens can also be a part of the tasks completed while your sitter is living on site.

Trained in Pet Tech® First Aid and raised in a mini-farm environment, your caregiver is able to see and handle basic emergencies while you are away. While it is never fun to think about the possibilities of emergencies popping up your caregiver has experience taking care of some of the basic ones that pop up.

Visits start at $450 per day.

Pro will travel up to 1.5 hours from the intersection of Hwy 53 and 515 in Jasper, GA to get to a farm for 23 hour service. (Most sitters will stay on-site for 24 hour service but we ask that you allow them one hour if they need to go off-site to collect food or other supplies they may have run out of.)

A Meet & Greet Consultation is required 72 hours prior to the start of service.

Knowing how popular our pet sitting services are and how quickly our schedule books up, we have some farm clients that contact us to 6 months in advance just to set aside time off for their own self-care with the comfort of knowing we will cover for them. NOTE: This service is bookable in advance on MAJOR HOLIDAYS. We will take bookings for 23 hour care starting a week in advance in case we have some openings to fill but usually we are unavailable for 23 hour care during the holidays.

NOTE:
We do NOT offer every-other-day (EOD) service.
Commercial farm visits are not included in our insurance coverage.
Stall waste of more than 2 days accumulation is an additional charge.
Caregiver brings their own bedroll, food, an personal care items. Client is required to provide an appropriately safe place for the caregiver to sleep.

Choices Pet Sitters Services

At Choices Pet Sitters reducing fear, anxiety, and stress in your pet is our goal. We want your pet to feel comfortable while you are away. While we care for dogs and cats we also care for other pets who must remain home due to size, limited off-site professional options, the danger of exposure to pathogens, and a variety of other reasons. By coming to your home to visit, rather than removing your pet from your home, we satisfy the basic pet care needs of pets who might otherwise fail to thrive in another location while you are away. While no one can replace YOU as your pet’s stable and steady companion, an educated Choices Pet Sitters In-Home Pet Sitter is an important consideration for your pet’s safety and long-term well being. We want to be there for you. What are you waiting for? Click on the buttons to find out more about the pet sitting services you are interested in for your family.
NOTE: We are not a kennel and do NOT board/kennel pets off your property. As professional pet sitters, we come to your home for service.
