Training – Foundation Skills

Dog training is an art and a specialized skill. Our Master Trainer has many certifications and lots of experience with client’s pets that will give you the dog training experience you expect from a professional.

Located in Jasper, at the base of the beautiful North Georgia mountains, Respectful Communications Animal Training is operated by Linda Ross, BA, FFCP-Elite (Veterinary, Equine, Avian, Pet Sitter), DN-CPCP, CPPS. As a Dog Training Professional, Linda specializes in guiding pet dog guardians toward helping their reactive dogs become less fearful, resulting in less barking, lunging, and cowering, as well as starting puppies on the path to well-behaved companionship. We are lucky to have her working with us.

Our training goal is to have your pet:

• Happily engaging with you and other family members without fear, anxiety, or stress
• Offering an off-leash “sit” with extended duration, distance, and distractions
• Waiting for release (“stay”) from a down, sit, at doorways, at intersections, etc.
• Greeting other dogs and humans politely inside and outside the home
• Walking with a loose leash
• Eagerly returning to you when called
• Returning to a “place” or mat when cued
• Releasing an item to the floor when directed to “drop it”

Your trainer will travel up to 20 driving miles to your location at no additional charge. (If further away a distance charge will be applied.)

A Consultation with your trainer is is required before starting any training classes.

Prices start at $80 per hour for basic foundation classes. One dog per private training session.

We do NOT offer dog training sessions 7 days before, 7 days after, or on major holidays.
